Manassas Battlefield & Cousins

Today, Jack and I drove to Manassas, VA to meet up with Ty's cousin Michelle and her almost-three-year-old twins Dylan and Cole. We had warm weather (finally!), so we decided to explore the historic Manassas Battlefield. Michelle and I tried taking turns reading the signs and watching the busy boys as we walked around. That was a nice idea. Basically, I learned that this place is also called Bull Run...and the Confederates won...and that's about it. I'm going to have to re-learn my history in my spare time, I guess.

We had fun, though, chasing these boys around in the grass and eating a picnic lunch. Michelle's boys are so cute and so funny. I loved asking them questions and hearing them both respond the same thing, at the same time, in the same voice.

Jack, Cole, & Dylan proudly waving their flags.

Jack by his namesake's monument...
Just kidding.

You could take a photo of Jack in a garbage dump and he'd still have the sweetest smile - what a darling kid - I miss him!
