Itty Bitty Open

This morning, we went to the Itty Bitty Open at our community center. It's an event for kids between three and five to come get some pointers on golfing and a set of free clubs. They got about five minutes of instruction and then were let loose to hit the nine-hole course. It was hilarious.

The boys: Davey, Maxwell, Eric, and Jack

Jack's awesome prize for finishing was this cool golf visor. He thought he was hot stuff in it.

Preschooler

This little guy started at his first official preschool this month!

He goes to school three days a week for three hours at a time. I wasn't so sure about the time commitment at first (that's a long time for me to be alone!), but I know it's good for him to get used to being in a classroom with a teacher and other little kids. Also, can I just say that it's amazing how fast the time flies while he's gone? I always have these grand ideas about what I'm going to accomplish in those three hours and it's just not happening yet...

New Year's Hike

Good 'ol Arizona didn't disappoint and we had lovely warm weather for Ty's day off on New Year's. We went for a five mile hike on South Mountain and Jack walked all but about a half mile. I think we've turned over a new leaf! Or maybe the new Camelbak we got him for Christmas was motivation to keep him going.

Polar Bear Club 2011

New Year's Eve is one of my favorite nights of the year! Look at all these tough guys getting ready to jump in and swim the length of our pool.

Jefferies Reunion 2011

We just got back from an awesome family reunion in Pinetop, Arizona. My entire family was there! It's been a few years since we've all been in the same place at the same time. My brothers from Massachusetts, Texas, and Idaho had to travel the farthest.

We had the perfect weather: lots of warm sunshine and snow on the ground. We had two days together of sledding, games, eating, and playing.
