Trick-or-Treat

Happy Halloween everyone! Here is a little taste of what it's like to go trick-or-treating with a little giraffe...

I think Jack finally understands what Halloween is all about. After a few houses, he started running up to the door saying "More candy!"

Cruise!

We just got back from a wonderful four-day vacation on the ocean! My parents paid for us to go with them as our Christmas present this year and Ty's parents were willing to watch Jack for us. It was great to have some alone time and feel like newlyweds again.

Our ship: Carnival Elation

A little seafishing

This was our Russian waitress Tatiana. Ty enjoyed talking to her every night.

The last night of the cruise we went to a hypnotist show. Everyone talked me into volunteering, so I went up on stage with about 8 other people. It was crazy! It totally worked on me. I do remember most of what happened and the weirdest thing for me was just hearing all of the laughter and not knowing why everyone thought it was so funny. I did lots of crazy stuff like dance and be a total goof up on stage, so Ty had a great time watching and teasing me after the show. It really was pretty cool.

Oak Creek Canyon

We went camping in Oak Creek Canyon this weekend. We met Ty's parents there at a beautiful campsite and got to enjoy the fall leaves together. The weather was pretty cold, but it was nice for a change. Lois and I were the birthday girls and shared a peach cobbler for our cake. Other than that, we fished, biked, and just played.

We were worried Jack would get cold, so we put him to bed with a beanie on. It was so cute to see that he actually left it on and fell asleep perfectly tucked into his sleeping bag:

Big Day

Hooray Ty!

Today, Ty started his new job. We were all very excited. I meant to wake up early and make him a special breakfast, but I slept in so cold cereal had to suffice. Sorry babe. His new office is quite a bit farther away than the old office, but he should be getting a bus pass soon and then we can start saving gas money.

Tonight, we made our traditional Halloween sugar cookies. Jack thought the sprinkles were so fun and got the biggest kick out of shaking them all by himself. It's hard to believe that this will be Jack's third Halloween. I'm so excited. His costume is awesome, by the way. Just you wait.

Loving October

We're just loving our beautiful October weather. I think we've had all of the windows open for two weeks straight now. Here's a few pictures we got while enjoying the lovely outdoors this afternoon:

Jack's "House"

Jack loves to play in his "house." It was a birthday present from Granna and Papa and it has been great for him to have something to play on outside--especially with our beautiful fall weather. I love being able to send him outside while I'm making dinner and not worry about him getting heat stroke!

Jack and his cousins Gavin and Ethan playing in the house:
We ate lunch outside today and Jack insisted on eating underneath. He's so funny. I don't think he could even sit up all the way. A few minutes later, I caught him throwing his broccoli in the bushes and he tried to tell me he was feeding the lizards.
