San Diego

Ty had some business in San Diego this week, so we decided to take advantage of the free hotel and turn it into a family vacation! My mom came with us, too, which was a lot of fun. She helped out a lot with Jack and it allowed me and Ty to be able to get off on our own a little bit each night. We drove there Sunday night, because Ty had told me that he needed to work Monday, but we were actually there a day early so Ty got to spend the first day of vacation with us. Nice Surprise!

Highlight#1: Sea World! We loved that place! Watching Shamu, kiddie rides, meeting Sesame Street characters, a 4D movie, and lots of fish! (Of course, all Jack cared about at the aquariums was the pebbles at the bottom of the tank...every time I pointed out a fish, he'd yell "Rocks! Big rocks!")

Highlight #2: Lots of good food! Eating out is one of the best parts of vacation, right? We also tried some yummy desserts, including gelato and chocolates from the Ghiradelli store.

Highlight #3: Doing a session at the San Diego temple. Thanks Mom for babysitting!

Highlight #4: Coronado! We spent a morning playing at this beautiful beach. Unfortunately, the first time the water hit Jack's toes, it caught him so off-guard that he lost his balance and fell in the inch-deep water. The rest of the morning he cried that he "fell in the ocean."

Highlight #5: Chocolate shakes at In-n-Out!
