The beaver strikes again...

So, remember the problem we had with Jack chewing through the paint on his crib? Well, my very wise father-in-law found a solution. He emailed a link to a product on Amazon called a Gummi crib rail. It goes over the wood to protect it and your child can still chew on it. It looked and worked great:
...until today. Jack went down for a nap, but had trouble falling asleep. I could hear that he was just playing, though, so I just left him in for about 45 minutes. After awhile, he got really quiet. Too quiet. I went to check on him and he had totally pried the crib guard off in one spot. He had been gnawing on the paint in the little spot he worked up and now it won't re-adhere to the crib. I think he got the glue too wet with his slobber.

Ty says we'll have to use crazy glue now. Way to go, Jack. And here's the guilty culprit himself:

Why do kids love to chew on their wood cribs? Ours did it too -- they eventually grow out of it, though, so just hold out.
