Jack and I went through a box of hand-me-downs a couple days ago. Most everything won't fit him for several years, but we did come across a hat and tie that fit him perfectly now. He tried them both on and ran to the mirror to check himself out. When he came back he said, "Now I'm a man! I'm just like Daddy!"

Jack Loves Camping

We have tried to get in a lot of camping trips this summer because Jack absolutely loves it (let's be honest, it's Ty too). Last month, we had a great camping trip with our friends, the Sherwoods. They moved out of our neighborhood about a year ago, and we really miss them! Jack, Annabelle, and Asa had a blast running through the pine trees and getting very, very dirty. I'm pretty sure we went through an entire package of wet wipes on this trip.

A couple of weeks later, we went camping again with the Frosts and Stevens. Jack and Benson are only a couple months apart and played really well together; Kate is "the baby" and loved all the extra attention from the adults; and Sage is the awesome big sister that all the kids wished they had. They enjoyed fishing (even though we only caught crawdads), catching horned toads, and getting very, very dirty...and even more wet wipes this time.

Birthday Boy

Jack had a great third birthday. Granna and Papa came to town and he got spoiled with all the attention. We had a fun Cars-themed party with lots of family.

So Brave

Jack had a check-up with his doctor today. He looked so funny in his little gown that I just had to take a picture. He did great and didn't cry after his shot. He just looked me right in the eye and said, "I'm so brave."
