Labor Day in Page

We had an awesome Labor Day weekend. The weather in Page was gorgeous. It made us wonder why we moved to Phoenix! Jack had such a good time playing with (and getting spoiled by) Granna and Papa.

And who could go to Page without spending time on Lake Powell? Leslie and the kids were on the houseboat for the weekend, so we joined them in the evenings for dinner and let the all kids play. Rob was working like crazy, but we did get to see him for a few minutes.

CPA...finally!

Today was a big day in our house. After months of waiting on board reviews and paying fee after fee, Ty can finally oficially put the letters CPA after his name. We're so proud of you!

Busy Day

What a busy day we had today. Whew, I'm exhausted.

Morning: I went to Institute. I've always had the thought "Won't it be great to go to Institute every week when all my kids are in school!" Well, my friend Tia and I decided that we should just start going NOW and take turns watching each other's kids in the nursery. Last week I babysat, so this week I got to enjoy the lesson.

Lunchtime: I got my husband back. He was only in Utah for about 30 hours, but I missed him terribly. Gotta love Jack's face in this one...
Naptime: PJ Pants 101 with my mom. I used some left over Christmas flannel she had and made some PJ pants for Jack that should fit this winter. It brought back lots of memories from all my frustrating sewing lessons when I was a kid, but all in all it was a good experience. They took about a hour from start to finish.

Dinnertime: We had a guest for dinner--Elmo. And when I wasn't looking, Elmo got green beans shoved down his throat. Yummy.
Quick Funny Story: Lately, Jack has to hug and kiss EVERYTHING. He has to give his stuffed animals a hug and kiss before he gets out of his crib. He has to give the steering wheel of the car a hug and kiss before he'll go in the house. Yesterday, I tried to put the vacuum away without him noticing and when he realized it was gone he started crying. I had to pull it back out so he could hug and kiss it. The worst one today was the bottle of Zout stain remover. Yes, he had to hug and kiss it before I could put it away... Just a phase, right??

Life with the Neffs

My cousin Michelle Neff and her boys Champ and Cooper came to stay with us for a week. Michelle's husband Cham is in the Army and was sent to Germany for a month, so she came to get her mind off of being alone. We kept ourselves busy during the day with three little boys and stayed up way too late playing Qwirkle every night.

Sunday night we had Sam and Jennie over, so we had five crazy boys all under the age of five: Cooper, Champ, Brock, Porter, and Jack. We love cousins!

Glasses

Jack always wants to play with my glasses and I usually never let him. I gave in this morning, though. What do you think--does he look more like his mommy this way?

Little Cook

I recently pulled out this little apron that used to be Ty's when he was young. Jack lovingly calls it his "afron" and now insists on wearing it everytime I start cooking. He loves to pull out the pots and pans and pretend to cook too...what a mess.
