Philadelphia

Ty had a business trip in Philadelphia last week and I tagged along for fun. Mom and Dad were gracious enough to watch our kids for the week (thank you!) so it felt like a second honeymoon for me and Ty. We also celebrated our ninth anniversary that week!

Our hotel - a beautiful historic building downtown

Our first meal - a roast pork sandwich from Tommy DiNic's in Reading Terminal Market. This sandwich has been voted by some as the #1 sandwich in America.

An Amish meat market

Late night pizza and calzones one night from Paulie's Pizza - delicious!

We met up in Chinatown one day on Ty's lunch break.

A Liberty Bell selfie one afternoon while I was sight seeing by myself

Getting an authentic taste of Philly at Geno's

City Hall - this is actually the tallest masonry structure in the world

City Hall from behind

A little gelato to celebrate our anniversary

One of the first churches built in Philadelphia

Eastern State Penitentiary - this is where Al Capone was in prison.

A lighter dinner at Rybread Cafe. By this stage of the trip salad was the only thing that sounded good to me.

The Rocky statue in front of the Art Museum

No big deal...just stretching my legs on the Rocky steps...

Our last morning - a tour at Independence Hall
