Happy Halloween everyone! We had an interesting night. Elliot seemed to be over whatever bug made him sick the night of the trunk-or-treat. This time, is was Jack that threw up just a couple house before we headed out for the evening. Lovely. We had a busy beginning of the week and just didn't get around to carving our pumpkin until Thursday dinner time. We decided to do it really fast before trick-or-treating. Well, the pumpkin was supposed to still be in the back of the truck, but when I looked it wasn't there. I figured it must have fallen out on the road somewhere along 67th ave. (It's a long and embarrassing story about me forgetting to put the tailgate up after throwing a bunch of groceries in the back...yes, I definitely saw my yogurt flying out when I looked in my rear view mirror.) I hadn't realized that I'd lost our pumpkin, too. By now it was too late, so we just didn't say anything to the kids and somehow they forgot about it.
So we headed out to get candy with our sick Dracula, Jake the Pirate, and Sleeping Beauty.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one who didn't make time for the pumpkin carving. We have them all scraped out and cleaned waiting for us to carve them. We told the kids we'd still do it, but man! it's been crazy this week. I guess that would be an okay Sunday activity. Sorry you had little sickies. That's never fun around any holiday. I love the Jake costume! I love everyone's poses in the last picture!
