Burn

**WARNING** Viewer Discretion is Advised

These are some very sad pictures of my little boy. I wasn't sure if I should post these or not, but if this blog is supposed to be a representation of what life is really like in our little home, then the good needs to come with the bad! Jack was helping me get dinner ready (as he does every night) by standing on a chair up to the counter top. He was about a foot away from the stove, but I told him as I turned the burner on that the stove was going to be hot, so he shouldn't touch it. As soon as I turned to pull something out of the fridge, I heard him cry out...I was too late. He burned his hand on the hot pan and, within minutes, it was a giant blister. We iced it for 2 hours and then wrapped it in gauze. He wasn't crazy about the gauze, so we had to put an Elmo band-aid on top of it.

that is so sad, i STILL remember getting burned on a hot cookie sheet as a kid pretty much this same way...so just think, you're giving him a memory :)

This is one of the moments all mom's seem to have. I can still remember when our little Taelor burned her hand on the iron. It is such a sad time, but they always pull through and hopefully learn a little lesson along the way.

That second picture is soooo sad! I guess he'll know next time not to touch it. Pour guy! I hope it gets better soon!

Unfortunately, we all get to go through this sad event. I think it really traumatizes us mothers just as bad as it does the child. Savannah and Josie both did curling irons and I was ready to check myself into jail both times. I am very sorry for both you and Jack. Big hugs!! (())
