In Memory

Last night, Grandma Jefferies passed away. She was my last living grandparent. Grandpa Jefferies died over 3 years ago, so she has been alone for some time and it has been relatively easy to let go of her. Grandma had struggled mentally for several years, so it almost felt as if she was already gone. I loved Grandma so much. I didn't get to see her a lot because she lived in Nyssa, Oregon, but we usually made a trip up to their house every summer. It was so funny, because as I got to be a teenager I would hear more and more that I looked like her. One time I was at the local supermarket and a woman came up to me and said "you must be related to Blanche." She lived a full life and raised five wonderful children. She was the kind of woman that never said a mean thing about anyone. I doubt she had any regrets. I'm just so happy to know that she's reunited with her husband and at rest. Love you, Grandma.

Wow, I think the resemblances are crazy, especially to the older pictures with her dark hair. You probably shared some of the same features. Sweet post.
