Jackson the Beaver
When I put Jack down for naps, he doesn't always fall asleep immediately. Sometimes he plays with his stuffed animals for several minutes, but I usually never worry about him or check on him. A few days ago, we had a little "experience." Jack was working on falling asleep and got really quiet all of a sudden. Even though he was silent, I could still hear his body moving. I waited a few minutes and then listened again. Still silent. For some reason, I just felt like I needed to check on him this time. When I went in his room, he was covered in drool and a black, powdery substance. It took me a few minutes to figure it all out, but I eventually realized that he was chewing right through a layer of black paint on his crib. Here's the evidence.
Luckily, he didn't go through to the raw wood. I sure hope it's non-toxic! It's a good thing he's so dang cute!

haha!! At least it wasn't a dead gecko...now, that would be gross!! =)
Megan did that too only she DID go through the wood! I am sorry about the damage to your crib. Silly boy...teething?
Cute picture of you guys!
Becca, your blog is so cute. It's fun to keep up with you guys. Mia did the same thing to her crib. Her crib was a gift from Grandparents and was pretty expensive. I figured we'd get a nice one to last all of our kids. It looks like yours is nice too. I found her with brown stuff all over her face too. Silly kids. Poor cribs!!!
Our crib is black too! I love it! Becca, your hair is darling - what a cute picture with your boy. And I love Jack's bedhead in the post above!
