School Schedule

With a couple weeks of school under our belt, we finally have our daily schedule down. Jack is feeling more comfortable in his class and is enjoying the structure of school. Every morning we walk to the bus stop. Audrey and Elliot have to wear their backpacks, too.

This picture was taken the first week of school, when we had to walk about 5 minutes down the street, but the bus stop has since been moved to right in front of our house!

Our big first grader!

Audrey and Elliot are back to ruling the house all morning again. These two play so well together. The only thing I have to worry about is them getting too quiet. It always means trouble - usually sneaking treats out of the pantry or playing with my makeup.

Last week, I took the twins to school to have lunch with Jack. They felt so big walking around the school and showing off their backpacks to everyone. It won't be long before they are here everyday, too.

School Starts

Jack started first grade this month at Happy Valley School.

HVS is a charter school so uniforms are now the norm for us. We are happy that the school is less than a mile away and still has a bus that can take him to and from school. Jack's teacher's name is Mrs. Conner and we like her very much already.

Birthday: Times Two

This weekend we celebrated Audrey and Elliot's third birthday. They have grown up so much this past year. They've said goodbye to diapers, cribs, and binkies. They've memorized five Articles of Faith. They've learned how to spell their names. They've mastered scootering. But more than anything, I'm amazed at how wonderfully they've become part of our family.

We did a little birthday shopping at the mall. Aunt Les had her hands full.

Madi, Audrey, Jack, and Elliot got to go for a train ride (thank, Granna!).

They opened lots, and lots, and lots of presents.

They played in the water with cousins.

I love these two little cuties!

Tough Stuff

Just wanted to share this cute little scratched up face with everyone. Audrey fell face first into the rocks in the backyard a few days ago. After she cried for a minute, she got right back to playing. Not much stops this girl!

Challenger Space Center

We are very lucky to have an awesome space museum just minutes from our house. It's called the Challenger Space Center and it's filled with interesting exhibits about the planets, stars, meteorites, and NASA history. This was a huge find for us because Jack is all about space right now.

This is part of a control panel from an old aircraft. The kids could have played with these switches and knobs for hours.

Water Stand

Jack has been begging me for days to do a water stand outside our house. He decided it would be a good way to make money and a lot easier than making lemonade. I tried to talk him out of it, but he wouldn't have that. He decided to charge 50 cents for a cup and set up the little stand all by himself.

Thankfully, our sweet neighbor bought two cups and Ty bought another so Jack made $1.50. I'm afraid this is going to be a regular occurrence now...
