Winter Break

Jack's Winter Break has been so nice and relaxing for all of us. The kids have been able to sleep in and stay out of the freezing weather that we usually endure walking Jack to school in the mornings (I'm such an Arizona girl). It's been nice for Jack to take a break from the long schedule and just play all day.

This is also the first time Jack has been able to spend all day with the twins for several days in a row. They've bonded a lot.

One more week of no school!

One of the best Christmas presents I received this year was pictures of our twins as babies from the biological family. These pictures are so precious!

Christmas Morning

Christmas morning started early for us this year. Jack woke me and Ty up at 4:30 and none of us could fall back asleep. We finally woke Audrey and Elliot up at 7:00 because Jack just could not wait any longer.

Christmas Eve

This Christmas Eve we got to celebrate with Anna, Jason, Sam, Jennie, and their kids. We tried to do as many Jefferies traditions as possible, including the graham cracker gingerbread houses that my mom made every year when we were kids. It was hilarious watching the twins trying to figure out that the candy had to go on the house and not in their mouths.

After a dinner of homemade BBQ pizzas, we threw together some costumes and let the kids act out the nativity scene.

After baths, we pulled out the old-fashioned cookie gun and made spritz cookies for Santa. 

White Christmas

We had a "White Christmas" this year!

We had the amazing blessing of being dressed all in white with our three children this morning in the Mesa temple. Audrey and Elliot were sealed to us and we are now an eternal family of five!

The whole experience was beautiful. I got to dress in the bride's room and memories of our wedding day came flooding back. The temple workers were all so sweet and treated us like royalty. We had lots of family and friends make the trip to come be with us and we were grateful to have them all in the sealing room with us.

Santa Again

The kids were so lucky to get another chance to see Santa! This time, it was at a party at Dad's office. They loaded up on cookies and goldfish and sang songs while they waited for Santa to arrive.

Elliot wanted nothing to do with Santa this time, and was very content to stay in my arms.

Audrey hopped up on his lap before it was even her turn. Santa asked her what her favorite Christmas treat was and she yelled, "hot dogs!" Everyone in the room burst out laughing. Here's Santa and Audrey both picking their noses:

Jack got a turn, too. Santa asked him what he wanted for Christmas, and this time Jack said a strand of multi-colored lights.
