Hot Pads

Jack has a little obsession with my hot pads. He pulls them out of the drawer and plays with them when I'm not looking. I caught him trying to take a drink with them still on his hands. So funny.

Woods Houseboat Reunion

September is the month that the whole Woods family meets for a houseboat weekend on Lake Powell. The weather was perfect. The water was calm. The weekend was great!

The Zoo

In celebration of Jack's birthday, we took him to the zoo this morning. It was his first time ever, and I think he is at the perfect age to start loving it. He especially loved seeing the elephant and giraffes. I think he recognized them from his Baby Einstein movies. We had a great time and the weather actually wasn't too bad.

Today was Jack's 2nd birthday. I can't believe how fast this past year has gone by. Here's a picture of Jack on his birthday last year:

When Jack got up this morning, he got to play with his present from Mom and Dad--a kitchen set. Maybe this will keep him out of the real pots and pans.

We had a busy morning. Jack went to the doctor and got his shots, and then we ran a bunch of errands to get everything ready for the party. It was dinosaur-themed this year.

Grammy got him some new goggles. I think they were a little too tight at first...

Just right!

We had a great time and were do glad that all our family and friends could make it!

Labor Day in Page

We had an awesome Labor Day weekend. The weather in Page was gorgeous. It made us wonder why we moved to Phoenix! Jack had such a good time playing with (and getting spoiled by) Granna and Papa.

And who could go to Page without spending time on Lake Powell? Leslie and the kids were on the houseboat for the weekend, so we joined them in the evenings for dinner and let the all kids play. Rob was working like crazy, but we did get to see him for a few minutes.
