Coyotes game

Last night, we got free tickets to go to a Coyotes game. Someone at work couldn't use them and Ty willingly accepted to go in his place. The seats were awesome! We were in one of the suites and we felt so high class being there. They had snacks and drinks...and free beer too! :)

I even took a picture of the free bags of peanuts. I love free peanuts. If you don't know what I'm talking about, go read my blog entry about the Diamond backs game from August...

Mom's Birthday

This weekend we celebrated my Mom's birthday. We all surprised her by showing up at their house and made dinner and dessert for her. It was a lot of fun. We started the evening with a little bocci ball.

Texas sheet cake!

Jack and cousin Brock giving hugs.

Dad was work out from all the grandkids, I guess, because he fell asleep in the middle of the party.

Dust Devil Race

Yesterday was the big race day we have all been waiting for--the Dust Devil mountain bike race in Fountain Hills. Ty has been training for months and shown a lot of dedication by riding in the wee hours of the morning. The race covers about 17 miles of mountain trails and takes about an hour and a half.

A few seconds after the start (Ty on the left in light gray and Cody on the right in blue).

They both finished! Cody did really well. The final times haven't been posted yet, but he probably placed in the top 3 for his division. Ty was really doing well, but got slowed down when he had to fix a flat tire. Unfortunately, in the next 20 minutes, he had to stop and fix 2 more flats! Better luck next time, honey!

Progress...

So, we decided that the packing tape on the ceiling didn't look that convincing. Ty is taking on the task of repairing it without hiring anyone. He's definitely made some progress.

Happy Halloween

This year, Jack loved his bear costume. I was worried that he would want to take it off, but he was perfectly content...except for the fact that he was sweating (temperatures were in the mid 80's). We went trick-or-treating with Granna, Papa, Cody, JoEllen, Ethan, and Gavin.

Reaping the rewards!

Birthday Weekend

What a great birthday I had this year. We had lots of fun. Last night, Ty and I got all fixed up and went on a date. We went to the mall, ate at Mimi's, and got Blizzards at DQ. What a perfect day!
Today, we had a big dinner of meatloaf, potatoes, salad, squash, rolls and homemade pumpkin pie! Unfortunately, Jack is really sick with an ear infection, so he wasn't much for the party, but we still had a great time. Thanks to everyone who sent me birthday wishes!

In just 15 years...

...this little guy will be driving! I guess you could say he's getting a head start on learning how. Jack LOVES standing up to the wheel of our truck. He thinks he's so cool. He touches the radio occasionally, but mostly he keeps his eyes forward with his hands on 10 and 2. I guess he watches his mom a lot! I just had to post some pictures of it.
